Win a month of French study and culture this summer!
The Alliance Française des Bermudes is pleased to announce its annual contest again this year for high school students. Full and half scholarships will be offered to students between 14 and 17 year old, giving them the opportunity to spend one month in France this summer. Winners will be leaving Bermuda on June 28th to study French in an internationally acclaimed French school in Cannes, on the French Riviera.
The scholarship includes:
1. Travel from Bermuda to Nice on the French Riviera
2. Three weeks stay with a host family
3. Three weeks study at a renowned French language school
- Daily French lessons in a small classroom setting
- Cultural and other activities in the afternoon
4. Additional four days of guided cultural excursions in Paris to be confirmed
Students will travel from Bermuda to Nice, where they will be greeted by representatives from the school, the Centre International d’Antibes, and their host families. The school is located in Cannes, a few kilometers away from Nice. French lessons will take place every morning, and in the afternoon, students will be invited to cultural tours or activities at the school (additional fees may apply).
We aim to include as well three days of cultural excursions in Paris, with a French guide from L’Alliance Française des Bermudes.

To be eligible, students must be studying French in Bermuda, be between the ages of 14-17 as of July 1, 2014, and have a valid passport.
Please note that Bermuda passport holders require a visa to enter France.
The presence of the winners will be requested at the French Alliance Annual Dinner on Wednesday March 12, 2014 at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club where they will be introduced to the French Community.

A typical cocktail will be served as a weclome drink followed by a buffet of specialties from this exotic island.
The night will be the occasion to present the winners of the French scholarship.
We will also hold our AGM between 7:30pm and 8:00pm and it would be a perfect time to renew your yearly membership (make sure you speak with Martine!).
The party will be held on the first floor at the Dinghy club which offers outstanding views of the great sound and Hamilton harbour.
